Well this seems appropriate, considering the humidity everyone's been enduring lately. Notice how the rainbow double's colors are reversed.
Believe it or not, this is our sun. There's a filter in place, so this would be only X-rays or ultraviolet or some other specific type of radiation. I did an oil painting once, based on several different images of the sun. It looks not unlike this photo.
This stately, regal Great Blue Heron has just snagged a lovely fish for himself. They are magnificent animals.
What an unbelievable vista. Have you ever seen the sky a darker shade of blue? The stark landscape suggests Iceland, or Patagonia. Wherever, I bet it's COLD there!
