I finally got some video of Gracie struggling with the cat door:

The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
This intriguing combination of fantasy thriller and moral allegory depicts the gripping struggle of two opposing personalities — one essentially good, the other evil — for the soul of one man. Its tingling suspense and intelligent and sensitive portrayal of man's dual nature reveal Robert Louis Stevenson as a novelist of great skill and originality.

She did it!!!
Didn’t take too long this time, either…
Well, she’s ahead of Jinx — but we gave in quickly with Jinx and rigged up the hooks to keep the door open in the daytime (ANOTHER sign of our subservience to our feline overlords).
Of course! We are their staff.
Lol! So cute! She really does have to work up to it!
That one wasn’t too bad. She can take quite a while sometimes. I had to wait until Rich wasn’t home because he can’t stand to see her machinations. Must hold the door open for her, the princess.
‘What’s this?’ poke poke. ‘Oh, it seems to lead to the outdoors. Hmm.’
Then a great leap out. Hope she had fun!
She’s only been using it for TWO YEARS. But you’re right; every time, it seems new and scary to her.
What’s the worst, is when the wind is blowing hard, and the door is being blown out or sucked in while she’s trying to negotiate it. IT’S ALIVE!!!
If only the raccoons and skunks had as much trouble using them to get inside, lol.
I’m surprised that when she saw you filming she didn’t just wait for you to come open it.
Luckily, (knock on wood) we’ve not had any unauthorized entries other than the time a tomcat came in.
Well, you see she did look plaintively over in my direction. She did just get me to open her door for her right now, though!
Poor Graciie! “I pushes it but it keeps closing!”
“HALPS, Daddy!”
