Spending the day looking under rocks in a creek is a FINE way to spend a day, IMHO.
I agree…I’ve actually done it. lol I lived in Franklin, NC for a while and we used to look for arrowheads after it rained. Great way to spend the day.
We look for nails in the dirt roads after a rain…
I looked under a pile of newspapers today and found a $5 bill. Does that count?
That said, with all the ambient light around here, it’s very hard to see the stars at night. I used to drive to a nearby golf course to watch events like the Perseid shower, but they gated the place after some kids vandalized the greens. I think I need to move to someplace away from town.

I thoroughly agree. I know the situation with your folks kind of inhibits your freedom at the moment. But you are still a young woman; the mountains will be there for you.
Does this mean I’m wasting my time searching for the meaning of life in the daily episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful on TV? Damn!
It’s only been on the air for 50 years — if the meaning of life was in there, I’m sure someone would have caught it by now…
