Just-released video of Jeb Corliss crashing into Table Mountain in South Africa. He’d been recuperating in a hospital there for the past five weeks, and just returned to California three days ago. This was the second time he’s crashed there; this was about him facing the mountain again. Hit a ledge with the lower half of his body at 120 miles per hour.

It’s amazing his legs didn’t come clean off.
Took a while to find out exactly what happened. One of his Facebook friends sent me the story. The video just came out a few days ago. He was on Conan last night, I hear.

I heard about this a few days ago. He was profiled on 60 Minutes once, and I think they did an “update” mentioning this accident last Sunday night. (They did all reruns and stuff since they figured everyone was watching Oscar).
He posted graphic pics on Facebook showing the 4 x 3 inch wide hole in one of his legs. He got skin grafts, apparently. Just walked on crutches last week. Just climbed stairs today.
Wow!
We’ll hear about his death someday on the news…

He’s lucky to have gotten away with two broken ankles, a torn ACL, and a large gash in his shin that required skin grafts to close.
