We were supposed to get rain, and maybe an inch of snow last night. Woke up to four inches. We went out walking to do water company maintenance. Rich ended up not being able to get out, so we’re enjoying a snow day!

We got rain, and only a little. But holy cow, it’s cold outside. I wore my wool coat this morning, the first time in a while. You guys didn’t build a snowman?
Not this time. By the time we got back, three hours later, and me with no food yet, I was pretty spent. Do you have any idea how much energy it takes to build even a crappy little snowman? Leave it to the kiddies.
Hooray! I love snow days!
And on Valentine’s Day, too. We don’t really celebrate it, but it’s nice to have hubby around for the day.
Boo! Keep the snow … DO NOT let it pass over the mountains and head my way.
The worst is supposed to hit (for us) Wednesday night. So watch out Thursday night/Friday morning…
Nice pics!
Thank you! I have to be careful the camera doesn’t get too wet.
Beautiful snow, wonderful captures! It turned the world into a snowy poem…snow is so magical.
Thank you! We’re expected to get more tonight and tomorrow…
You live in a magical fairy-forest. Love the water, and what is that bridge-like structure?
The pond pic came out really well. The bridge-like structure is actually one of the gates at the entrances of the neighborhood. We were setting it in an open position, so nobody would slide down the road and crash into it (it’s happened). You can just see Rich’s legs poking out from the underside on the right.
I also love that pond photograph. We live in such contrasting beautiful parts of the world.
It came out better than I expected.
Having spent the first 33 years of my life living in southern California cities, being in the mountains is a wonderful change. I’d contented myself with occasional camping trips, but…
I do also adore the desert. I came *this* close to moving to Bisbee, Arizona. Would love to visit your little island someday.
How fun! Great pictures. I loved the contrast of the green moss with the snow and the bark. A few of your shots looked like Ansel Adams photos. Very nice.
Thankee! Now, to make a jillion dollars on a print…
